On Saturday May 16th the Campaign Team engaged in a local area cleanup yielding 28 bags of refuse from the greater Cherryfield area.

The laneways of Cherryfield are in a much better condition now after a weekend clean up by local Councillor Eamonn Walsh. Over twenty bags of rubbish were removed by Walsh and his team in a well organised clean up operation on Saturday 16th of May. Walsh said, "I've always understood the need for tidiness and good organisation and today we restored some civic pride to Cherryfield with a huge team effort, other candidates may talk about litter problems but we took care of the it". He went on to say "I've always been a practical man and its practical things like this that effect people's lives".

Our playground and nearby  community centre  and sports changing areas have been neglected and let decay.  I know its been thirty five years since the playground was last renewed! I’ll push for anti vandalism measures, a graffiti clean up and a new  lease of life for these facilities.
